A New Philosophy of Self

It Has Always
Been You

by Heidi Theall

"You're ready for the only thing that ever actually worked — the thing every religion, every physics equation, every mystic who ever lived was pointing at when they ran out of other words."

Find Your Glimmer
"Hold out your hand with the tiny fleck of courage gently laying in it. That glimmer of hope is all we need to escort you home."
— Chapter One: The Recipe That Failed Us

What Is Theallism?

Theallism proposes that every individual is a sovereign YOUniverse — a complete, whole, self-contained cosmos. You are not a fragment of something larger but rather, you are the whole expressing itself in one particular form.

Self-realization is a remembering. The journey is returning back to something ancient. TheAll — the totality of everything that exists — is not outside you. It is you. And you are TheAll.

Theallism does not require your belief. It requires only a glimmer — the hope of a hope, the tiniest morsel of willingness to consider that maybe, this time, you will find home.

I
Divinity
The divine is not above or outside. It is within — the flame that has never been extinguished.
II
Totality
You are TheAll expressing itself. You are the whole expressed in singular form.
III
Source
You are both the pebble and the water. The ripple moves inward and outward from the same source: you.
IV
Connectedness
Every person is a sovereign YOUniverse — complete, unto itself. Guest appearances in each other's experience.
V
Becoming
You are an ever-evolving, expanding being. You simply keep getting back up. That is the practice.

Thirteen Practices

This is a philosophy that enfolds you fully to carry you ever-expanding in your journey. Each chapter ends with a practice — a lived, embodied invitation to step into what you've just read. Each practice connects to a larger practice in the companion workbook supporting your journey home to Yourself.

1
Finding Her
Sit with your child self for a moment. Picture her. Find the last moment you remember feeling unburdened. Glimpse that moment until you feel in your heart what she felt to be her.
2
The Ripple
Find stillness. Breathe in — drawing inward, toward infinite potential. Breathe out — expanding outward into the room, the street, the sky. Both directions. Same you, same ripple.
3
The Expansion
Identify one belief you hold with certainty. Spend one week genuinely entertaining its opposite as equally true — not to abandon your belief, but to expand it.
4
The Emptying
Name the race you've been running. Write it down. Who designed it? What do you believe will happen if you stop? Let the space be empty for a moment and notice what rises.
5
The Shadow
Identify the thing about yourself you would least like to claim. Sit with the possibility that the behavior you most dislike in others also lives in you. Let it be true without letting it be the whole truth.
6
The Float
Notice the drift. Like the floating leaf — not lost, just far from shore. What current carried you? Distance is closeable. Simply name it.
7
The Shore
Name the fog you've been immersed in. Identify where you are in the water instead of on the shore. Then name where you are already the lighthouse — even imperfectly.
8
The Reversal
Return to your child self from Practice One. This time, don't just locate her. Go to her. Take her hand. Ask her what she needs. Then give it.
9
The Sphere
Gather the pieces of yourself you have gathered through the previous chapters. The bone-reset. The marathon ended. The child reached for. Let the sphere assemble, lit from within.
10
The Descent
Descend into the parts of yourself you have been managing from above. The shadow feminine. The controlled force. Go beneath. See what has been waiting.
11
The Rising
From the descent, rise. Rise to where you truly are. The ashes are the beginning, not the end.
12
Bonjour
When was the last time you breathed? Breathe. Be still. Look inward. Practice. The yogis are right — you cannot master it, you can only practice. You'll remember.
13
The Stillness
Close your eyes. Find the garden. Go to the child sitting on the edge of the flowerbed. Sit beside him. Tell him what you now know: it has always been you.
Portrait of Heidi Theall

I Know Because
I Was Her

"It wasn't experience that made me stronger; I made me stronger, despite the experience."

Heidi Theall is the founder of Theallism. Her surname — Theall — is the seed at the center of the philosophy: TheAll, the totality of everything that is. Because Heidi is part of TheAll, as are you.

Heidi descended and emerged through trauma, abuse, homelessness, the slow dismantling of every external structure she used to define herself. She arrived at the only constant that never betrayed her: the self as in "You." Theallism is what emerged on the other side of decades of clearing and collecting.

Heidi is a trained psychotherapist with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. She is a business executive and a mother. She writes from beside the reader — because she knows the road, she is simply a little farther along it.

The Theallism Lexicon

Theallism brings its own language — a living vocabulary for a philosophy that didn't exist before. Each term is an original coinage, part of the world being built.

"The act of writing makes a sovereign claim visible. It transforms something internal and private into something witnessed — by you, for you."

A chapter-by-chapter guide through all thirteen practices. Now in development.

All That Is Required
Is a Glimmer

The starting point is any point you decide to start. This point. This moment. You don't need full courage. You don't need to believe any of this yet. You need only the hope of a hope — one fleck of willingness to consider that maybe something will move toward wholeness this time.

It has always been you.
